Empowering Women Through  Health and Wellness
When I graduated from nutrition school, I was so excited and I was ready to help everyone and take on the world and quit my job to focus on helping others.  And then life got in the way.
The 15 months following graduation were some of the most stressful times in my life.  My weight was going up (cortisol went through the roof then tanked) largely because I was stressed out of my mind at work and at home.  I went from being hyper and short tempered to being mildly depressed.  My manager at work even asked if I was ok and if I needed some psychological help.
And then I bought a book on hormonal health.  And it all made sense.  My hormones had gotten out of control again.  But at least now I had an answer and my stressors had hit a peak.  I acknowledged that I needed help in the way of support so I joined a fellow nutritionist’s program and got back on track.
Now I am focused on helping women balance their hormones and get their energy, their joy and their sexy back.  Please remember that when I say “get your sexy back”, I’m not talking about what you wear or how you look.  I’m talking about how you feel about yourself.  I’m talking about your energy level, your happiness and mostly your confidence.
When women are confident and energetic and feel great about themselves, there is no end to what they can accomplish.  When women take care of themselves first (I know, this goes against the grain of what we’ve been taught), everybody benefits.  Partners are happier.  Children (furbabies or human babies) feel more loved.   Career benefits.  It’s easier to juggle the myriad of items we need to take care of in a day.
So I invite you to join me over the course of the next several months as I delve into the various hormones and answer the following questions:
  • What are they?
  • What happens when they get unbalanced?
  • What can I eat to help rebalance them?
  • What vitamins, minerals and herbs can I take to make me feel better?
  • What lifestyle changes can I make to improve my life?
I’ll be breaking it down … one hormone at a time … one issue at a time.  I’ll also introduce you to some amazing women who are taking the world by storm.  Some in the wellness business … others in complimentary businesses.  All of them are strong, independent and amazing.
